Spanish F1 Grand Prix Betting

Formula 1 returns to Spain on Sunday 13th May. And while he's second in the Drivers’ Championship, Lewis Hamilton’s joint favourite to win big in Barcelona.

BetVictor and Bet365 have the three-time British world champion at 6/4 to reign in Spain again.

William Hill and Paddy Power are also offering 6/4 on Hamilton’s arch rival Sebastian Vettel racking up his third win of the season.

Hamilton’s Mercedes team-mate Valteri Bottas is a little off-the-pace at 7/2 (Boylesports). The young Finn caused a stir last month when he broke his grand prix duck at Sochi.

Moving down the grid, BetFred has Vettel’s ally Kimi Raikonnen at 12/1. Paddy Power has priced Holland’s Max Verstappen (above) at 18/1, meanwhile.

The Spanish Grand Prix is just the fifth race of the 2017 season. A further 20 races must be run before we know the identity of the 2017 champion.

Although it’s four years since he chalked up his fourth Driver Championship, Sebastian Vettel is at 4/6 (Bwin) to finish on top of the heap.

Hamilton, on the other hand, is at 6/4 (Bet365) to make amends for finishing second to Nico Rosberg last year.

And while Bottas might be up-and-coming, the fact 32Bet has him at 7/1 to win the F1 title demonstrates that the 2017 championship seems destined to be a two-horse race. A further indicator is the next most fancied driver Kimi Raikonnen being priced at 25/1 (888sport).

Looking much further into the future, even though there’s a lot of the season – not to mention most of the year – still to come, the bookies are offering odds of 14/1 (NetBet) on Lewis Hamilton winning the BBC Sports Personality Of The Year award.

The Stevenage-born driver previously received the accolade in 2014. He also finished runner-up in both 2007 and 2008.
